The bathroom finished up on June 29, the day we moved in. We couldn’t shower in it for two more days because the grout needed 72 hours to dry, so we went back to our apartment just to shower. We’re super happy with the fixtures and all the tile- it looks amazing!
There’s still a small list of things that need to be done, including painting the room. I’m not sure how long we would need to keep the bathroom dry for the paint- it’s already been primed so that’s super helpful.
We also looked at perhaps every single bathroom light on the whole internet and settled on this one. We are having the drywall under it patched next week.
The faucet from Ikea also has an interesting feature to prevent hot water from being wasted by getting stuck in the tap. The handle only turns to the left, so first we thought it was defective, but then I found this piece of paper that explains the way it works as I was recycling the box the faucet came in:

Pretty cool! Mostly we are just super glad it’s not broken. Showering in the new bathroom is a luxury! It’s SO CLEAN and nice. We also are really happy the contractors could get it done in two weeks- so fast from a complete demo to a finished bathroom.
